I wasn't wanting to be condescending, Grace. I only did wonder, cos many times the cable company also provides, for a fee of course, an internet connection.

I was curious not condescending.

Did you judge me again?

No judgment OD. It was more than obvious that by your question you were implying that he was lieing, and or really didnt have anything to complain about at all. Nor did you refute AP, when she backed you in the very next post, assuming you were saying exactly what you were saying. It is what it is.

ROTFLMAOL!!!

Actually, I was figuring he was using a LAN line to get onto the internet...And was wondering if he was getting that internet access at the tax payer's expense as well Gracie. That he signed a contract on the verbal promise that he got free cable AND INTERNET. Cause if he is using that free access from our tax dollars, he should lose it too, as well as all the others in his building.

Obviously, he was posting from his home, not out on the street...So IF he's being harrassed, having his rights denied, etc. that he's claiming...He's not as homeless/hard put as he's trying to lead people like you to think he is...

And that's how I took OD's post to mean as well...That he wasn't as put out/hard pressed as he was pretending to be...And possibly access the internet at tax payer's expenses.

I do find it interesting, that you immediately jump in to support him and such, to justify the abuse of tax payer's dollars to give people free cable access though...

Makes me kinda wonder if you're one of those individuals yourself...Thinking the world owes you a favor and living off the hard work and sweat of the tax payer's themselves thinking it's your right to spend our money any way you wish to.

I know what you were saying, but the man had told you that his cable had been cut. The fact that tax payers were paying his cable wasnt his fault. He wasnt even aware of it. You made wrong assumptions tward a guy who has a ligit argument. He was told his cable was free, and so it should be. Why the big deal? The only problem I see, is the wrong people were paying for it, and could be changed easy enough by changing the name on the bill.

Now your just lying. He never said he was homeless. Not even close. The whole argument is he was told he gets free cable. And so he should. They should honor what they said, regardless of his income. I dont care if he's has a million dollars, a deal is a deal.

Why are you making assuptions about a man you dont even know?? Do you always look for the negitive in folks you just met?

I have justified no such thing. I dont think tax payers should flip the bill for his cable. I think his housing comish should, as he was led to believe they were the entire time. Your bitching about something he didnt even know was happening. He was told he gets free cable, and he should.

You might as well think that, it seems you assume things about people you dont know at all, alot.

Here's the thing...I don't care how he got online. Or where. Come down to it.

But he was the one complaining about what he did not get. Cable. I say, pay for it out of your disability check. And thank your lucky stars you live in a country that takes care of their disabled.

It is far more valuable that you have a roof over your head, heat to ward off the severe elements of winter, food in your tummy and medical care.

If cable is something out of your financial reach, then go to the library and get dvd's and vids. They are free.

As to the attitude of the new member, no rights...the moniker gives it away. That and the other thread he began on Medicare.

Grace, why do you want to feed someone's discontent with what is given them instead of assisting them in finding the happiness of a thankful heart?

As to suing for cable, Grace! I am surprised at you. Here's one for ya...

Who would Jesus sue?

If you really need to know,I pay for my own internet. Anything else you want to know?

Some of the only people that get free internet are politicians and government buildings that are already living off of tax payers money. Don't say I don't pay taxes because I'm on disability either. I pay taxes every time I make a purchase, buy gas,pay a utility bill etc. I also paid in to the Social Security system during the years I worked and a Republican President took the money out of the Social Security fund and never bothered to pay it back.

R E A D V E R Y C A R E F U L L Y

I N E V E R complained about not getting free cable. I AM BEING PUNISHED FOR PETITIONING THE GOVERNMENT. That is my issue.

The First Amendment says we have the right to petition the government without punishment.

Now you want to bring Jesus into it. OK,fine. The government should ask what would Jesus do.

I am glad you also have a car. I had to go without one for a whole month. Public transportation is a good provision, but not very convenient at all, especially in the winter.

Thanks for sharing your counting your blessings. Every time you pay a bill, you are counting your blessings. That's what Mama taught me.
