Actually it is not. There have been a few soldiers/sailors that have been discivered (or admitted to being) gay BEFORE their tours in Iraq and were processed out only after they returned from the combat zone.

When I was in the Marine Corps we took community showers. Now if we separate men and women showers for decency reasons why doesn't the same not apply for gay men and straight men? What do you do in that situation? I'm just saying.

Because I for one do not want to take a shower with a gay man for the same reason that a woman would NOT want to take a shower with a straight one.

you haven't got anything anybody is interested in



by the way - how long ago were you in the service? every serviceman I know has said that there are cubicle showers in the service - privacy is not an issue

When I was in boot camp in 1976 the showers were a straight pipe with 8 shower heads - no cubicles at all. You had to shower with 7 other naked guys standing in a circle all around you. It took some getting used to.

Our high school gym showers had stalls with curtains. Just saying.

It was in that the shower heads were arranged in a circle - as opposed to being against the shower wall. It required that you stand closer to the next man and you all shared a common soap tray. After awhile, you didn't really care anymore. You just were glad to get a cool shower at the end of the day.
