People who insist on taking the bible and using it as something to try to espouse on others...
... ignoring what it says to them.

This case just goes to reaffirm a link between homophobia (i.e. irrational objection to homosexuality) and latent homosexuality.

But it's not just the bible and Christianity that deems homosexual acts "not quite right" and a sin.

It's not very often that so many religions agree on anything.

Taking the actions of a few religious leaders and deeming religion evil would be like taking the actions of the few parents that kill their kids and deeming parenthood murderous.

No, I disagree. It looks like "religion" simply took an assessment of the world around it and deemed homosexual acts improper along the lines of thievery and murder. Homosexuality goes against observable nature.

Religion only reflects archaic views against something people of ancient times didn't understand.

Just like views about woman, minorities, slavery, etc has changed with time so will views about homosexuality.

If it neither picks your pocket nor breaks your leg... you are a bigot. It is sad that religion is creating this kind of HATE in the world when the opposite should be true.

What is there not to understand? The human body isn't changing. Homosexuality is just as against natural human physiology and procreation as it always has been.

I don't abide by the "break my leg" mantra. If I did, I wouldn't have a problem with homosexuality, prostitution, and zoophilia, and necrophilia. There are a lot of things that would apply to that, that I am glad we, as a society have rules against.
