It's been so many years since I've had the opportunity to take any "stance" at a urinal, I've forgotten the etiquette. I hope I don't get it wrong and get arrested if I get a transplant.

The controversial remark came Monday afternoon in the 18th hour of the live national telecast, when a visibly weary Lewis, 81, was joking on stage, pretending to introduce members of someone's family as he mugged for the camera.

"Oh, your family has come to see you. You remember Bart, your oldest son, Jesse, the illiterate fag ...," Lewis said, as he apparently caught himself and ceased the gag in mid-sentence, turning on his heel away from the camera.

"Jerry Lewis' on-air use of this kind of anti-gay slur is simply unacceptable," GLAAD President Neil Giuliano said in a statement, adding that the comic's remark "feeds a climate of hatred and intolerance" that could incite anti-gay violence.

GLAAD urged Lewis to apologize for the comment and asked the entertainer to meet with members of the group "to help him understand why these words are so hurtful." (Awww poor babies.....)

Everyone makes gay jokes from time to time including many gay people. Who cares....

We are sick and tired of handling anything gay with kid gloves. Why are we are so afraid of offending the gay lifestyle.

We can belittle christians, blacks, etc. but the gays act like they are so oppressed.

Thanks for all your hard work helping those poor kids Jerry.
GLAAD should of responded with a its OK Jerry we understand you need to help the physically retarded and malfunctioning who else would help the little 'Tards...

That'd be OK wouldn't it??? I mean its the truth and why handle them with kid gloves..I am personally sick of the retarded getting a better parking spot then me...

Liar.
Again, not making a big deal about the situation and not passing judgment. Just more fiction from fxashun

You keep babbling about a situation that has been resolved..either you are making mountains out of molehills or your just plain old fashioned petty ..so which is it are you making mountains out of molehills or just petty???

So I can't reply to posts directed at me....Like this one? If you want me to be quiet, don't talk to me. Additionally where in this thread is "mountains and molehills" applicable?

No you can reply to whatever you like but when you keep going on about something that has actually been resolved then either you are making the situation more important then it really is or your just being petty. It is the simple fact its been resolved already and yet you've harped on about it after that...here is where you get a old fishmonger wife on everyone...

"Cause they are a bunch of punks...
a usually petty gangster, hoodlum, or ruffian

Not to be confused with..

a young man used as a homosexual partner especially in a prison

Definition of punk - Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

My inflammatory post for tonight. Good evening all."

but it wasn't as 'inflammatory' as you'd hoped and so you're a little disappointed..poor little you. I feel sorry for you so here I am playing the game you wanted to play with such an inadequate post. I think everyone else is sort of bored with you. It seems you have been saying much the same thing for a very long time in the hopes of getting attention. Why else make a deliberately infammatory post but in the hopes it gets attention no matter how much it failed and went out with a whimper..therefore I deem you petty

Nobody forced him to lead a "repressed life".

But would you have been as sympathetic if he had chosen to repress pedophilic or zoophilic feelings instead of expressing them?

And how can you be so sanctimonious as to claim he led "an unfulfilled, unrewarding and incomplete life"??

The guy came from a poor background and has been a US Senator for 30 years!

Not everyone sees their whole being as determined by their sexuality, whether that sexuality is straight or defective.

Clearly he saw homosexuality as a demon he had to fight, as others see alcoholism or obesity.

In your desperation to brush this issue under the carpet you are missing the point.

Why does this bigoted, intolerant outfit - GLAAD - spend all their time looking for reasons to criticise others??

Are there similar watchdogs looking out for jokes made against Christians, blacks, fat people, Irish people etc?

It's just another example of the homosexuals wanting special privileges. Maybe they need to relax and laugh at themselves sometimes instead of trying to build mountains out of molehills.

So were all those members of the staff "depressed" when they called on the call girls in washington to make them happy?
