Sure, Kat.. just come in and try to make this a serious dicussion... see how you are?

Well, to be serious, I've felt at my most American when I've been exersising self-sufficenty... through activities such as gathering firewood or deer hunting to put food on the table for the winter.

Many Americans nowadays are so urbanized and removed from an old-school D.I.Y. lifestyle, they'll call for help when they get a flat tire.

Conservatism: Self-centered mean-spiritedness fueled by ignorance and misguided self-importance.

Bigotry is a social disease.

Legalized same-sex marriage almost certainly benefits those same-sex couples who choose to marry, as well as the children being raised in those homes. - David Blankenhorn is president of the New York-based Institute for American Values and the author of "The Future of Marriage."

Not me.

I have more dollars invested in tools then jewelry. I'd rather have something out of a Craftsman catalog any day of the week. I'd rather shop at Home Depot then Macy's.

I've completely gutted a bathroom and redid it, floor to ceiling, including drywalling, tiling, plumbing and electrical. All by myself.

How many women do you know that can say that?

Only a couple. But I find it very sexy.
