The Armed Forces has many other jobs other than Iraq. My first experience showering with other men was my first night in boot camp. It took a bit of getting used to "thinking" all of us were hetero, if an openly gay guy had been there, I think there would have been a different mood to that day.

Why do you think that would bother you so much?

I don't think it would me. I've never been in the military, but I've taken plenty of public showers -- usually in the gyms and health clubs I've belonged to. Odds are, some of those guys had to be gay or bisexual... but it just never really crossed my mind.
