I'm not sure I have that "right" either unless we are married, rather than merely "partners".

Marriage implies a commitment between a man and a woman. Partnership does not.

Should we really redefine marriage to conform with hospital visitation rules?? I think it would make more sense to do the opposite.

In reality I'm sure the family of a dying homosexual can allow someone outside the family to visit if they want to, even though it may mean forgiving years of homosexual behaviour.

yES Most inc. co.now allow a man to put there live in unmarried girlfriend on there Inc.My son has his G/F on his.
If they live together long enough they can file there taxes together like they were married.Can I do that with my G/F?
