Life can be much more expensive in the US especially if you want to put your children through college or you have even minor health problems.

Perhaps, but you'll need some bloody good luck finding a dentist.

The reason getting ill is so frowned upon is because the insurance companies lose so much money on sick people. Of course, nobody cares about poor people who can't even afford insurance.
