englishsunflower - just a warning - there are a couple of posters on this forum that will say anything to bait, goad, irritate and push you into an argument. These people also consider it a desired addition if they can either hurt your feelings or make you angry.

I know the American healthcare system is heartless but I still find it hard to believe a hospital wouldn't let a friend visit a dying patient.

Never been on yahoo this is the first non gay form I have ever been on ..........guess I didn't answer........but you didn't answer mine.........The family never could except that my friend was gay and would never except his partner even though they were together for over 15 yrs.........so when the nurse asked the family if they wanted my friends partner there (which is what they do here)at least in the southern hospitals)the family said no. It is there right as family

They must have been very offended by the gay connection, was your friend concerned about the impact on his family of having a homosexual "partner"?

Even so I think the family was wrong not to allow visitation.
