But there are those here, Garysher, Grace, Rod and ReallyRod, and some others I guess, but I can't think who now, perhaps some lurkers from bygone days, like Jefferson and Alias, who stood on the facade of divine authority to condemn gay people.

I ought to have been more mindful to write clearly, but sometimes I sit down with a quick cuppa coffee and just whip out my thoughts to share and at that, in a hurry.

But now would you say you grasp my message to Flower?

OhDear
You know I was jus' messin' wit' ya'. Kind of a slow day around here so that was all I had to pick on. I'm the last one to talk about grammar mistakes.

Don't be so sure Bonnie.
Sometimes the truth has to be faced and confronted, like grasping a nettle.

If you had met me 20 years ago you may have avoided some of those failed marriages.

Live fully and love truly, Flower.

Sure just carry on the pattern of serial failed marriages and relationships!

Don't bother stopping to think why they never work out.

Don't worry about the trail of unhappiness and misery and waste and expense left behind!

As long as you feel "loved and in love" that's all that matters!

I think I should take over Dr Laura's show, or maybe Dr Phil's.

Ah! You think that if I had met you 20 years ago, you would have mentored me in the way to live well and have right relationships?

That is too funny, Mr. Sher. And I do not live my life with the idea of all that matters being to feel loved and in love. I don't make decisions based on my feelings, I appreciate that I have feelings to express my mood, my thoughts and my affections for others.

And with that, I feel pretty darned pleased with myself to decide to tell you that you would not ever be a Dr. Laura or Dr. Phil.

You don't have the "it factor", unless someone says, "shhhh!" before you speak ...

OhDear...that's Ms. OhDear to you.

Yes, you and Gary would have been a great match. There's no question that you would be happy, content, and divorce-free had you married Gary 20 years ago. Hindsight is such a bitch ain't it?

This thread does imho already have definitive signs of rigor mortis...

Still I must go on record Pen to say that I did not believe Gary was offering me marriage twenty years ago, so much as he is extolling himself as one who could have counselled me, guided me, steered me on the right path.

Fact is that, no doubt, he would be good friends with three of my four former spouses. Maybe all four. But for sure three of them. And you know what they say about birds of a feather...
