I agree to a certain point. Whether one is talking about religion or legend, there is a certain amout on 'growth' that goes along the course of time.

It it believed, by some scholars, that YHWH was originally a localized tribal God that was eventually 'grown' into the current Abrahamic concept of God.

That said, let's get back to the main subject...

In the end, if the author says that Dumbledore is gay, then she would be the authority on the subject.

She answered the question of a fan that asked, and the media decided to pick it up.

That is the long and short of it.
