I've been on diets and exercise regimes since I retired - nothing worked. I finally found a doctor that would do the surgery. Since I can only eat 3 meals a day @ 1/4 cup each, there is no way I can't lose weight.

I didn't have the full bypass where they remove most of the stomach and the upper intestine - they just did the stomach surgery. Now, if I eat more than 1/4 cup of anything (and, LOL, look at your 1/4 cup measuring cup to see how big that really is! LOL), I run a very real risk of tearing the new small stomach pouch they've created.

It's only been four days, and already I've lost 14 pounds lOL> ... though admittedly, that's mostly water weight at this point.
This search feature is the bomb.

You're the only confirmed liar here.

exactly, dipshit

I had a vbg - which is NOT gastric bypass - as explained quite clearly in the post you so generously provided

thanks for proving that you've no idea what you're talking about

that malt liquor must be rotting your brain

edited to add: I might add, I paid for my medical expenses and didn't expect the hardworking American taxpayer to take care of it for me.

Semanitics...As you so eloquently stated in your own words, it's "gastric bypass lite". Dipshit.

And I wouldn't need that surgery any way. I have enough discipline not to need "stop me from being a fatass" surgery. I just diet when I want to lose weight.

it's not semantics - it's a different surgery

I called it 'gastric bypass lite" as a JOKE

there IS no such thing as gastric bypass lite - I made up the name as a joke

but - as I said - since I didn't grow up in an environment that taught me to expect hardworking taxpaying Americans to pay my way, I paid for my medical expenses.

YOU BET.

I know many ex-servicemen who have medical problems - and have their medical expenses taken care of. BUT. They are able to earn a living and do not expect hardworking taxpaying Americans to foot the bill for not only their living expenses, but for the families they create instead of working for a living.

I have NO PROBLEM AT ALL - and would protest if it changed - with vets having their medical needs taken care of.

But, since we have a member who can type on a computer for 18 hours a day - and computer work is one of the most highly paid jobs in the U.S. - I see no reason why that 18 hours a day couldn't be spent making aliving and getting off the public dole.

It's a ghetto mentality that he's owed a living by Americans.
