Conservatism: Self-centered mean-spiritedness fueled by ignorance and misguided self-importance.

Bigotry is a social disease.

Legalized same-sex marriage almost certainly benefits those same-sex couples who choose to marry, as well as the children being raised in those homes. - David Blankenhorn is president of the New York-based Institute for American Values and the author of "The Future of Marriage."

Oh - wait - you don't work anyway.

never mind. It's a bad analogy - but, since you don't know what working is about, you can be excused on that terrific blunder.
I'd work with a person with a broken leg. But I'd also still know his/her leg was broken and that there was something wrong with them.

And as far as my working...It's in the "works". LOL. I'll have a home business soon. And be paying even less taxes than I do now with all the writeoffs. I'll be jacking the system like a rich white guy.

This has been a topic of conversation at our house for some time now, considering our plans to relocate to Tampa. We go back and forth about it... do we stay here because of the backward political climate there, and count ourselves fortunate? Or do we go there because of the backward political climate there, and get even MORE involved in the fight?

Today, we are getting like 2 feet of snow. My office closed early. Then I got a call from someone I interviewed with in Tampa a few months ago... they are still interested if I am.

Right now, as my boots and gloves sit on the heat register, I am thinking we go, and we fight.

I'll tell you what, Forester. You'll be in the land of a more stifling backward political climate with a lot of hot and humid weather in the summer if you move to Florida.

The backward politics of Illinois must have started with mayor Richard J. Daley getting the dead people to vote for JFK in 1960. And the backward politics must have started with that crazy recount in Florida in 2000.

Not the most engaging place I want to be in the summer months.

I wonder why California isn't backwards yet?

I don't think Florida can revoke a homosexual adoption from out of state can it?

I think you should go, maybe you will be the one who ends up changing.

Life is much better in California though, you can crash at our place for a while until you get settled if you like.

Seems to me that people who think like you are going the way of the dodo bird.
Either that, or it's indicative that the propoganda is working.
