So it's not okay to cram atheist propaganda down people's throats, but it is okay to cram religious propaganda down people's throats, Gary? That is an inconsistency that you are overlooking, of course. You want to live one way, and you fail to recognise the right of people to live in a manner that might not agree with yours.

Au contraire.

I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of your secular progressive friend's attitude.

If it's so wrong to voice religious faith as a rationale for personal behaviour then surely this ban has to be extended to include atheists and their faith, or lack thereof?

Voice your beliefs all you like, but leave the law making out of it. Behave however you like, as long as it is within the law. Be as religious as you possibly can, and give me the freedom that I am entitled to, to not be.

How can an atheist leave his lack of beliefs out of his lawmaking??

fxashun;

What "education" will have you separate homosexuality from the other sterile, biologically and physiologically deviant "sexual orientations"? I have yet to see it.

you have yet to read it.

What about the people that think that Asians are superior to whites? Are they uneducated?

of course. are you suggesting there is any ethnic group that is inherently superior to any other ethnic group?

School is where I learned biology and philosophy. And I learned when you apply philosophy to biology, you get abortion, eugenics, and "homosexuality is normal but the other sexual orientations aren't...unless we change our mind later".

fortunately there are universities, after hours classes, books (as i mentioned before). this might help you fill the gaps in knowledge you so eloquently articulate with your above comments.

:::Whew::: Good thing I quit going while I was young then. That sounds scary.

it can be scary when people who think they know everything because God told them try to educate people who actually know more. the most scary part is when people who know very little actually believe they know it all and therefore refuse to listen to anything other than their own opinons.

garysher;

And this isn't the first time somebody like you has tried to draw an emotive but utterly fallacious comparison between race and sexual dysfunction.

that was not what i was doing. i was making the point that a lack of knowledge can lead to people believing things that are untrue. when people do not know any better, they make silly comments like "blacks are inferior", or "evolution has no evidence", or "homosexuality is a dysfunction". the best way to counter this ignorance is with education. it isnt easy, lots of people prefer to remain ingorant.

You seem very uneducated in this area.

LOL!!

Tell me which books explain why homosexuality is NOT dysfunctional??

not again....

(the Goebbels remark was unneccesary)
Ditto your attempts to ram atheist propaganda down out throats.

the hypocricy of you complaining about someone trying to ram ones opinion anywhere is staggering.

so you finally admit that your position is based on faith rather than logic or science?

I'm asking why an atheist's (non) faith-based logic should carry more weight than a Christian's faith-based logic.
