advocating calling someone "white boy" seems racist to me. Would you come in here an advocate calling someone of African-American descent some type of racial slur? What if your post said "call him 'black boy' ..."

I think Anne Heche was never gay, given her sudden and inexplicable reversion to a heterosexual relationship. I always viewed her relationship with Ellen Degeneres as a career move. Ms. Heche has a great body, btw.

Tristan, is your "smoking parent" banner satire or are you one of the ardent anti-smokers? I hope not. I don't smoke, but I find society's odd crusade against smoking hypocritical. Its become the fad. Today, there is no chance that passive smoke is going to kill me. Today, there is a chance that some drunk driver will tank me on the way home. Yet, there are no attacks on alcohol. Drinking parents are a far greater risk.

Of course, as a libertarian, I am against the myriad of laws we have on the books. We have way too many laws, which has led to the over-criminalization of society. The sodomy laws were a great example, and I was strongly for their repeal. In addition to being just plain old inane, enforcement of the laws were a complete waste of police resources.

My favorite are the arrests of people who masturbate in porno theatres. First, no one complains -- that's what people do in those theaters. Second, what kind of police officer watches this type of behavior?

Yes. I was very light complected and in the summer I had reddish curly hair. Not to mention I also used to keep to myself and play air guitar to rock music like Jackson Brown "Tired of Towing the Line". Not exactly the stereotypical Black kid from the ghetto.

I should explain the root of my opposition to marriage by two persons of the same sex, and my former biblical quotations not withstanding, it is not based on my religious beliefs.

I firmly believe that consenting adults should be able to engage in any type of sexual practice. Prostitution should be legal.

There have always been limits on the right to marry. I cannot have two wives. I have to be a certain age to get married. Marriages often have religious overtones. I can support civil unions because they would confer the legal rights married couples have. But advocates of same-sex marriage will not stop there because they view gay marriage as a way to force society to accept their lifestyle.

Well, it won't work. Never has. You cannot legislate equality. African Americans have obtained the level of equality (that is still somewhat short) not because of the government, but because they have obtained some level of economic and voting power.
