That isn't being treated fairly or justly.
That's being equally restricted to being treated fairly.
It's the equivalent of having all religions banned except Christianity- but everybody having the equal right to worship Jesus.
That's not equal - that's uniform discrimination.

Quite true. And we should all be subjected to a life that is fair in every regard and hold hands and sing "Kum by yah" and the end of each day. If not, we should demand justice and equal treatment by god!!

Nope, nope, nope............

Here is the hierarchy as it exists in America today. This is how your "equality" is truly defined. From best to worst........here we go:
  1. The mega-rich who settle nicely in the mega-rich society and don't pose any threat to the mega-rich way of life.
  2. The mega-rich who don't settle nicely in mega-rich society and are rich from new money. Lottery winners fall into this category.
  3. The very well of (financially).
  4. The anglo middle class.
  5. The middle class for non-anglo.
  6. The working class.
  7. The migrant working class.
  8. The ghetto welfare class.
  9. The homeless.
Who said only the Hindus have a caste system?

It is being treated fairly. Every normal human has the right to do what every oher normal human has the right to do. You don't have the right to marry a sheep, your sister, or 3 of any gender either. But some "tax paying citizen" might claim that they should be able to. You have to stop somewhere. And most humans stop at the fact that there is no reason for another human being to be gay, so why should they get "married"? And if you decide to allow "gay marriage" as a normal part of society, you might as well allow a few other things. All it takes is a 4-3 majority it seems.

Or a majority of a minority.

I see no reason for heterosexuality. I'm gay - and have had a biological son, so it's certainly not required for procreation.

I guess somebody will have to wait and ask God what reason he had for making gay people gay.

Obviously since you have a son, you have an inkling of some of the reason for hetero...Since human children/mammalian young under normal circumstances
need a woman's mammary glands to live for the first few months of life. Unless you are gonna tell me gay men have those too, your "I have a son" premise doesn't tell me anything useful.

God created a lot of sexually farked up humans. Gay folk, pedophiles, transgendered, sexual obsessives, so acting like having a sexual perversion is somehow different or rare or impossible for one of "God's creatures" is a rather bullshit analysis of the situtation IMHO.

Step 2: Talk about sex.
The only thing required for procreation is screwing. And we all know that males of many species will try to screw anything, anyhow. But as humans, you would think we would apply our higher intelligence to determine that two penis's don't belong in a vagina at the same time. Yet there is porn that demonstrates how to do that as well.

As I said already twice, I am gay and have a biological son. Obviously, whatever mammary gland necessity he had was taken care of (not to mention, there are many babies that receive NO postpartum nourishment from the mother's body).

Therefore, there is no more "reason" for heterosexuality as homosexuality. An "attraction" is not required for procreation.

You're not special. Get over yourself.

Baby steps, always baby steps.

Obtaining a civil union law in NJ was more palatable for people than full marriage, so we took that step.

Exposing how they do not work as intended, also a needed step. But that would have been hard to do without actually having civil unions first, to provide actual data.

Next step is pretty obvious. Legal marriage.

We will keep fighting the good fight, and we will get there.

Actually, that isn't needed either.
Just ask any sperm donor, egg donor, or turkey baster mom out there.

Procreating is the easy part.
Parenting is the hard part.

But as we have seen, both can be done with equal success by anyone of any sexual orientation.

If I may, OTL...

Anything less than equality... isn't equality.
And no amount of semantic games will turn the current situation into equality.

Thanks for the reference link, too, OTL. It's the shortest and easiest to understand one of those charts I have seen. Bookmarked that one for future use.
