A defect at birth, huh. I've seen birthmarks like Mikhail Gorbachev's. I've seen children with noticeable birth defects. But I've none seen anybody, let along gays and lesbians with noticeable birth defects. Unless you want to peek into their bedrooms and see them holding hands with a member of the same sex. Is that your definition of "birth defect?"

Famous people with birth defects:

Elton John, Ellen DeGeneres, Rep. Barney Frank. Yet all with successful careers. Should I mention more?

Although I am heterosexual and I hope to marry a woman someday, I do feel the urge to laugh at you. May I?

So you admit your opinion is contrary to the professional conclusions of medical professionals. Interesting. And I do believe that people are born gay, but what makes it a defect?

Where does homosexuality fit in there? Please tell me and maybe we can go to the medical community and see if they will add it to their definition.

Feel free. Birth defects don't have to be "noticeable. Didn't see anything about "noticeable" in my definition. You can't notice a aberrant behavior. Autism for example. It's a birth defect.
Feel free to laugh though.

Autism can be a defect from birth and in later years among children, too. So who says that Autism is not a birth defect?

I was pointing out a behavior that can be a birth defect. If homosexuality is inborn, especially if it IS caused by a f'up in the hormonal mixture during gestation, it is a birth defect.

Again, the medical community seems to disagree with you. Where does homosexuality fit in the above definition?

It is a defect present in a human from birth. I thought I was clear. The medical community doesn't know why a person is gay. How can they specifically disagree with me. Oh yeah, they voted on it.

It's not a defect. There is nothing in being gay that hampers one's ability to live and function. Your whole reasoning is that it's a defect because you say so. We need more than that, sorry.

Explain how being gay is dangerous to a person or endangers their life, or even makes it harder for them to live a normal life. And I just mean being gay itself, not streriotypical gay activities or the way others treat gays. How does being gay biologically hamper a person?

The same can be said for the other sexually deviant desires. Yet they are still deviant. Missing a finger is a birth defect, doesn't keep someone from living. Not quite the litmus.

That's not the litmus either for defect either. Read above.
birth defect: Definition and Much More from Answers.com
Minor defects are abnormalities that do not cause serious health or social problems.
Still sound like homosexuality to me. I think it's funny you are debating my liberal use of birth defect but confortable with the liberal use of homophobia. LOL.
