Not in that way no. But long term dysfunction doesn't mean that it's not dysfunctional. Just means you haven't stopped. I've been on dialysis for 17 years now. Still dysfunctional to have renal failure though.

I agree - something that by the very virtue of it's NAME is "failure" could certainly be considered dysfunctional

not so with my relationship

The name doesn't make it dysfunctional. No matter what you call homosexual unions, they are just as dysfunctional as unions created by other sexually deviant urges..

Kidney disease was dysfunctional before they gave it a name. And homophiles are still dysfunctional even after they changed it to homosexual.

well, not according to the medical community

and, if it's between them and you - I'll just stick with the legitimate major accredited medical association in the U.S. You can wallow in the lunatic fringe. It's not for me, thanks.

Not really a fringe when half the physicians disagree with the "majority". Sounds more like what the court did to California.
I don't mind hanging with the half I agree with.

What's not true about it? A majority of a minority is kinda weak standing.

Compelling evidence would have gotten much closer to unanimity.

well, you can't MAKE people vote - especially on an issue which obviously not many cared about.

hell, a bare 60% of only 13% of the population in TX voted to ban gay marriage - but everybody makes it seem as if it was a statewide mandate by every citizen.

I agree. But when the APA voted, it was for a scientific purposes, not whether or not someone should let their hair grow out. Really lets you know how seriously these people take their responsibilities. Your vaunted "psychiatry professionals" need to take their jobs more seriously.
