Actually, I have used the term several times. I just have used it in a clear non-insulting context.

On the other hand, I edited out the Q word when I pasted in an article on radical family lawyers (even though the Q word was used in a quote from a gay activist writer). I changed it to "gay".

Our society would do a lot better as a whole if we would all exercise a great deal of common courtesy. There would be no hate crimes - no polite person would engage in that activity. There would be no sexual harassment because sexual harassment is boorish behavior (the funniest joke I ever heard was one told by a gay cosmetics salesperson who was accused of sexual harassment by his female, Christian co-workers). The nosy busybodies who spend their time being do gooders would be gone.

Sadly, it won't happen.
