Although, I bet you really don't even know the complexities of your grandmother's experiences, or how she got where ever it is she got to. Our parents and our grandparents don't really tell us how things were for them if they were unpleasant or embarrassing.

No proof or indication of "forced" marriage in this case either. I knew my grandfather and grandmother. They were happy together. He was 8 years her senior.

So he was 21 when he got her pregnant at thirteen? If I were her father, your grandfather wouldn't have had any balls left for anymore children with her. That is unacceptable.

What's really troubling to me is how those men would even want to fuck a woman who is plain looking to begin with, and probably stinks to high heaven after wearing a prairie dress in the hot Texas sun all day. Maybe that explains why they go after the 14 year olds instead of their adult "wives."

Times have changed. Little House on the Prairie is a series of books that are the writings of a woman who shares her growing up years and marrying back in the mid 1800's.

Back in that day, kids assumed much more responsibility at 13, having finished school and all. Many also died in their 40's.

That's the way we think today WT but not too long ago marriage at 13 wasn't considered inappropriate, especially as life expectancy was much shorter.

Some moral values are like fashion, including the current attempts to attack traditional marriage.
