Or the physically disabled people can just realize they have an f'd up condition and get on the f'n ramp/elevator because the know they have to do things a bit different due to their disability. Ali - the point is that Gavin Newsom, the self-proclaimed champion of homosexual marriage, cares so little for the institution of marriage that his own marriage failed within three years!!

So what if they were working on different coasts? Why couldn't they work through that? Why didn't one of them give up their job to be with the other?

The answer is very simple - their careers were more important to them than their marriage.

In which case why get married at all?

I'm sure when they took the marriage vows about "till death us do part" it didn't include a caveat about "unless our careers force us to live apart".

Newsom is a weak-willed liar who broke his marriage vows within three years and lacked the moral fortitude to find a solution.

How ironic this flake is now bragging about how the CA Court decision will change marriage in America.

Newsom couldn't care less about marriage, he only cares about votes.

So I'm gathering your message is that we shouldn't believe anything a divorced person says about gay marriage. I guess that means McCain is a weak willed liar too. Of course, McCain seemed to have done more than just abandon his wife. Seems he committed adultery as well.

Truth is, a lot of people on both sides of the same-sex marriage issue have been divorced. So your argument is seriously lacking in potency.

What's interesting is that Gary is doing something he rarely does...But doing so only because of his personal opposition in regards to SSM...He's blaming the man for the marriage ending, instead of the woman...

Funny thing is I feel that the wife in this instance, could have 'saved' her marriage if she'd really wanted to. Out of the both of them, she had the more flexible career then her husband did. In otherwords, if saving her marriage was as important to her as her career, she could have easily transferred to California...

Her husband though, couldn't get a 'transfer' for his career...Pretty much tied to his location, where she wasn't.

Yet, no matter how much whining the anti-SSM crowd does in order to try and relate their divorce to SSM? It simply just doesn't work. Because neither of them divorced because of SSM period...Simply divorced because of distance and seperation of lives.
