I read where the November election could reverse the court ruling allowing gay marriages. What a nutty legal system we have. Is this another San Francisco deal where you get married and a few months later it's declared null and void?

It would have been far wiser for them to wait a few months until the result of the ballot is known regarding a Constitutional Amendment, which would require voiding these bogus unions.

But at least we know the real agenda of these activist judges.
So, essentially what you are saying is that you are opposed to gay marriage?

And - no - I don't think that a popularity vote is important.
True, but if it's not a popular decision than you will always have fuckheads making trouble for you. You just can't legislate people's feelings.

The main reason for this was diversity training in the schools...which the uber-right-wing-religious-wackjobs know all too well. That's why they're so adamantly against having such education in the public schools.

Also - though I believe that there is much to compare gay rights with black rights and the discrimination against both - without question, blacks had/have a MUCH more difficult uphill climb to social acceptance than gays.
Racism is still a very real part of American society. This is true even though we now have the first black person in American history as the Democratic nominee for president.

That's what I was wondering. If the November ballot goes against gay marriage, what will become of the gay marriages that occurred before November?

To deny racism exists is just as goofy as some gay people here who act like my point of view is rare or extreme.

Honestly though, I don't think that they are gonna have to worry about that. I don't think the initiative is gonna make it. That's just my opinion though.

Racism is still very much alive and well in America. The disproportionate crime rate among black people isn't helping the situation either.

Tell me about it. I hate watching the news. It's rather disheartening. And the sad part about it is, IMHO it's all avoidable. It's just that everybody wants a "Lexus", but no one wants to work and earn it themselves. And the music foisted on "us" just makes me sick.

All I can do is make sure it's not "me" that's next on the news for killing somebody.

Come to think about it though. What is the "correct" amount of crime though? LOL. No race is immune.
