How would I be effected by it?

I used to visit Amsterdam quite frequently where marijuana is legal, but I never used the stuff.

You would be affected by not having as much underworld involvement - less violence - less risk of personal violence - less policing (i.e. less law enforcement dollars required). You would be affected by the govrnment receiving sales tax on the drug as they do cigarettes and alcohol now...taxes could very conceivably go down.

This is the wrong forum for this discussion - but I'm AGAINST drug prohibition for adults...like alcohol, cigarettes, owning property, marriage, etc. I would be against legal use by children.

there is absolutely no other reason whatsoever to have an interest in what legislation is passed or not

if it doesn't effect you, what do YOU care?

which is why I understand gays having an interest in this legislation - but people who already have the right to marry getting all shook up? They need a freakin hobby

Most Americans care about the decline of morality in their nation, and that's what this attack on traditional marriage represents.
