That still says nothing as to why gays should not be able to marry.

It will be interesting to see how these other nations far, those that have legalized marriage for gay couples.

Isn't it just really a sad thing that none of The Founding Fathers here in The States were gay and wanted to insure that marriage would be open and legalized even back then? Wonder why that did not happen...

I fail yet to understand how on the one hand, The DtT Gay Front extols same sex attraction and practice as nothing more or less than another sexual desire and conduct that is as old as mankind. And yet, historically, it took ten thousand years before gay people gained enough acceptance and numbers to influence any nation to legalize gay marriage.

There is a significance in how very long this "right" has not been acquired.

You'd make Rev. Fred Phelps turn pro-gay.

Garsh ... marriage wasn't a big legal issue when the founding fathers were around.

It took ten thousand years before we had indoor crappers, health insurance, integration, women's right to vote, the abolition of slavery, etc. etc.

Any right that takes ten thousand years to develop must be one that shouldn't be granted? Nice premise. Let's bring back slavery and no, you can't vote any more.

How long it takes for a right to be granted it not an argument.

It was NOT an argument. Only an honest question.

It seems drastically latant that these rights are only now coming to the surface of the social development of mankind.

There's nothing drastically "latant" (sic) about gay rights coming out during the last 20-30 years.

Since WWII, there have been numerous significant rights granted to society by law that were non-existent prior to WWII.

"latent"

you just posted an almost identical post to this last night.

it was responded to and it was explained to you

is there some reason you can't retain information?

Last night you posted two identical posts, one I wrote Deja Vu to. LOL

Yup, there is a reason I can't retain information. But I did retain it, you just did not provide any convincing reason.

Its more that your nonsensical post was posted, in substance, twice. One view was a waste of time.

The sexual preference of the founding fathers isn't really known (other than they were not openly gay). Moreover, we'd never have had any new rights granted if the time we went without the right was relevant. By definition, any right granted today is going to be one that had not been granted over the previous 10,000 years.

If my posts are nonsensical, don't read 'em Pride. No one forces you to buy comic books instead of National Geographic either.

Your worldview and mine are different because we believe in the origin of mankind differently too. I believe God created man in innocence and without any man governing another til after The Fall.

A factually incorrect ad hominem response to my post. While I subscribe to National Geographic and have done so for many years, it is really not that sophisticated of a magazine. Right now, I'm reading medical journal articles on leptospirosis. However, you try to make the point that comic book reading would be unsophisticated and reading NG would be sophisticated. I am no comic book fan, but there are a number of comic books with far more literate writing than that found in National Geographic.

Next, you say that you and I have different world views. Since you do not know what my world view is, you have no factual basis for that statement.

Your last sentence was ok.
