These people are what a real relationship is about - love and committment. Their love should show heterosexuals what a true relationship is all about.

i agree, while the divorce rate in the unted states is 50%, people wory that gay people will ruin the sancticy of marrige, while the sancticy has already been ruined. back to the lesbian couple, Sharon del adel was right. many straight couples have not lasted 55 years together, and i personaly know at least 8 gay/lesbian couples that have lasted more than 30 yaers, two couples in particular have recently just celebrated their 48/50 year anniversery together. couples like these have EVERY right to have the laws changed to leaglize mariges between same sex couples. and should have equal rights as a couple.

I'm sure there are many women who've had lady friends for 55 years + and it's nice that these two old biddies have stuck together.

It's also rather sad that they have spent their time pursuing a homosexual lifestyle when they could have led normal, fulfilling lives with their husbands and children and grandchildren.
There's no need to redefine marriage to accommodate these aberrations.

It's pretty pathetic that in such a joyous occasion, the bitter and hateful garysher sees only bad.

I would have thought that over the years, he could have found some happiness in his life, but clearly he has not changed one iota.

Did you notice his modus operandi here? Instead focusing on their long partnership, he picked apart Gavin Newsom and went on a tirade about divorce.

This is what unfulfilled people do....take the focus off of the reality and twist it to suit their hateful agenda.

Given that the people of California have already made it clear that they want to defend traditional marriage, it's obvious that it's the homosexuals who are pursuing a hateful agenda against their fellow citizens and against traditional marriage.

BTW your cause just gained another glorious sycophant today - Mayor Villaraigosa, who recently had to leave his second wife and their children when his affair with a TV reporter was exposed.

Why is it the homosexual 'marriage' cause only seems to attract people who don't give a damn about marriage and don't respect its values?

It's very easy for the bandwagon crowd to talk about how great this 55 year old relstionship is. Fifty five years is a long time to be together. It's hard for me to say anything bad about it either.
