Well apparently it is working, because it bugs the shit out of you. This marks an occasion as it is an anniversary of Stonewall in New York.

This gives visibility to a community that was in the closet for too long and it is one day a year.

For Israel, it is a huge step in visibility and it shows a great deal of courage...of course, they allow gays in their military so why they have an issue with the parade is beyond me. Typically, it the RELIGIOUS NUTCASES that have to "rain on the parade".

I always wondered why a "Gay Pride Parade" always turns into a "Sexual Freaks excuse to March Down the Street Parade". If that's the image of "gay" that homosexuals want to present, that's fine, but that's a wierd way to portray "pride".

Read the sexual harassment complaint filed by the San Diego firefighters ... it hardly fits with your inaccurate and self-serving description of a gay pride march.

I have seen worse at Mardi Gras, a High Holy Catholic event in New Orleans....but it is soooooo much easier to focus on gays right?

I didn't know the Mardi Gras was some kind of "coming out" party for any particular group. Whereas "Gay Pride" parades and debauchery are much more widespread. What's the similarity of intent?

Mardi Gras is much more debauched than a gay pride parade, and so is Spring Break.

If you have never been to a gay pride parade, then you can not comment intelligently about it.
