She thinks the union is to provide paper for students? Does she know that the union is NOT there to provide school materials - but, rather, to protect the interests of the membership?
And if the vote was taken and the majority of the people in the union want to financially support their fellow teachers who are gay, it is up to the union to protect those people.

She shouldn't resign from the union - she should be thrown out on her ass - and the school system questioned about why somebody so f'ing stupid is "teaching" students.
