I don't give a crap if a kid prays at a football game.
The school can't lead it.
The school can't sponsor somebody to lead it.

Man. It's like talking to somebody with ADD...
We already discussed this type of crap. Historicity has a factor too.
I'm just showing how stupid and asanine the liberal arguments are. Where does it say in the constitution that historicity is a factor? Show me. Just because someone in a black robe said so does make it correct.

What if the coach is a school teacher. Can he lead the prayer?

Dude, that's like saying, "Just because some guy that lives in a white house said it doesn't mean it's correct."

I think you just gave the most understated description of the Supreme Court humanly possible, and that isn't a good thing.

Alias, you're basically arguing that I not only kick you in the shin, but I punch you in the face as well.

If YOU want liberals to ignore "historicity" as well, you're more than welcome to argue for that. That means people like you lose more of your religious monuments.
But seeing a historical value to monuments, regardless of religious nature, is not "stupid and asanine".

Well, usually in these discussions you have two sides. One side wants Christianity to be the official state religion, have Christian Theology taught in schools, and mandatory Prayer in schools.

The other side, wants anyone to be banned from expressing their faith. To have Christian ideals, and teachings banned everywhere. They go as far as to tell us where we can and cant put holiday decorations at.

I seek to see things in the middle. Yet you all do not seem to realize the assinine points of all your arguments.

This nation can not have sponsored prayer in schools. Yet, there is nothing un-constitutional about religious imagery on Government Buildings.

When you see a christmas Tree at a Court House, They arent telling you to worship Jesus. Theyre not forcing anyone to follow that faith. It must be sooo Damned offensive to see a christmas tree on govt property. Better yet, ill lay it out for everyone.

If your a person who beleives in state sponsored prayer in schools. Then you want everyone to beleive as you do. If you want all religious imagery banned from Govt buildings, your a person who gets upset over nothing.

Seriously out of all the topics to argue about, this isnt one to even bother with. Sponsored and Mandatory Prayer is illegal in Public Schools. Thats never gonna change. The Seperation of Church and State prohibits that.

Having a Christian Prayer on behalf of a president or congressman is hardly anything to get offended by. Matter of fact, im pissed off at IRAN for not having Christian and Jewish Prayers in their own Government Meetings.

Marriage should stay between a man and women for they were made to reproduce. Let me see a gay couple do this. And if being gay is natural and the world turn gay man kind would die off.So this lifestyle makes no sense.
Besides why does the public even pay attention to maybe the 5% of the population who is gay?

I can disagree with the Supreme court. They disagree with each other all the time. This America. When some people look at the constitution, some people see things that aren't there.

Show me in the constitution where it says he can't. You can't. All you can do is repeat some convuluted educated dummy's rhetoric.

I am not talking about state sponsored prayer in schools. I am not for state sponsored anything. I am for people having the freedom to exercise their religion anywhere they want to. That is what it says in the constitution.

I don't really have the time to read all the posts, but I wanted to participate in the poll. It seems VERY evident that homosexuals are NOT treated equally under the law. In my opinion they should be though. I have no clue what is supposed to be wrong with Gay marriage. All it boils down to is tax benefits. The Civil-union marriage thing is all semantics. I think whatever the legal union is called should be the same for everyone, religious unions can be called by whatever the given religion decides on. Zero separation. We have proven before, in this country, that 'separate but equal' doesn't work.

1) So the only way for people to reproduce is to be in love and have a life comitment to each other?

2) For the same reason that we pay attention to the minority who is black, or the minority who is crippled... Because it is the right thing to do. Freedom & Justice for ALL... Remember? Not just for some... not just for those we aggree with or who fall into societal standards, but for ALL.

I am over here making sacrifices for homosexuals and liberals every bit as much as I am making thos sacrifices for Conservative Christians.
