The argument that homosexuality must be "unnatural" because our species would die out if everyone was homosexual is completely specious. If everyone chose to be celibate, our species would die out - so would you condemn Jesus as being "unnatural" by the same argument?

Actually, homosexuality does occur on a very regular basis in nature. You get gay animals - swans, lions, sheep, you name it. Whether there is a moral argument against human homosexuality is another issue of course, but "unnatural" it ain't - by definition.

For the record, my orientation is not a choice. I knew I was drawn to males rather than females from a very early age, certainly by the time I was six - even though I had no idea what sex was. Yes, you can certainly make a miserable choice to "abstain" if one has been brought up to believe that one's God actually gives a damn about who you fall in love with or what you do in bed, but my God isn't that small-minded.

How the hell is homosexuality a dysfunction? Nobody is harmed, society does not suffer, and the practice among consenting adults is mutually beneficial. I think for it to be classified as a disorder there have to be some negative consequences.

Homosexuality does have negative consequences. Anything that people do in life that is abherrent in nature sexually or otherwise will have negative consequences. When people choose to do 'wrong' in life, there are prices to pay.
