You CLAIM that you support legislation against only BEHAVIOR, but then when it turns out that Florida law prohibits ALL gays, regardless of "behavior" from adopting, you applaud.

Obviously, your own claimed "position" cannot be trusted as true. You contradict it at every turn!


No. You have not done that because banning blind people from having driving licenses IS DISCRIMINATION.
It is JUSTIFIED discrimination.

If we prevent blind people from driving, that IS discrimination. JUSTIFIED discrimination with a legitimate state interest.


I said I don't care what connotations you see in the word.

You want to use the word "qualification" because it ASSUMES that the discrimination is justified.
I have told you that I am comfortable using the word "qualification" as long as it is not used as an attempt to ignore the 14th amendment requirements.
Predictably, you avoided responding to that.

If a man has no sex at all, does that mean he is neither gay nor straight?

Like I stated, I will call it "qualify" AS LONG AS you do NOT use that as an excuse to ignore the JUSTIFICATION for preventing gay marriage.

I just gave the definition of discrimination, and it fits completely.
The fact that YOU find it "emotive" and "provocative" is your own problem. Not mine.
I attach no such connotation to the word, as I repeatedly explain.


YOU, singular, have started to respond to the whole 14th amendment issue elsewhere.
But then you COMPLETELY DROPPED the subject when it is proven that the state's claims ARE ABSURD.

The state claims that preventing gay marriage will further procreation. There is ABSOLUTELY NO evidence to this claim. And at its root, it's just plain stupid. No heterosexual couple is going to say "Gays can marry? Well, I guess we won't have any kids then."

Other arguments like claiming that gays are inferior parents have also been proven false. ALL the research shows that children of gays are just as happy and healthy. There is NO research contradicting this.
So the question remains as to HOW a society built on "equality", and which proclaims "innocent until proven guilty", can deny equality under the ASSUMPTION (denying the existing evidence) that gays are inferior parents?

Or get a room.. whatever floats your boat.....
