yeah, I figured that out. But the above question remains.

Bush is CERTAINLY a part of the elite crowd. He called them his "base supporters".

George W himself doesnt have much/if any Social Status as of right now the way the people are seeing him. Him having the title of President doesnt mean we have to respect him.

Since when does respect have to do with social status. Last I saw even with a 30% approval rating, GW was still living in the White House and flying around in Air Force One. The man may get no (or deserve any) respect, the office he holds gives him the social status.

Ok, maybe "status" was the wrong word..."Social Approval" I guess sounds like it fits the profile more.
