I'm sure that the right would have had plenty of negatives for Hillary if she would have divorced Bill after the scandal. Usually the right speaks about family values and the sacredness of marriage. So when a democrat honors her marriage vows and puts in the hard work of trying to save her marriage, well, that's just for political purposes. It doesn't matter what Hillary does, the right will demonise her every action.

You are correct, sir; in your belief that it's a " damned if you do, damned if you don't" position that Hillary is in. But that is the exact definition of politics itself; not just Hillary's situation. As President; you will never make a decision that 100% of the public agrees with- no matter what their political affiliation is. You are just trying to get at least 51% to do so.

Screw that, if I find out my wife is getting some on the side, I'm gone. And with all the sex scandals that Bill had under his belt before the White House, she should have been gone long before that if the marriage was really a "marriage" as most others view them.
This is my new signature.

People who hate Hillary Clinton are just upset because she did a better job of running the country than Nancy Reagan did.

Boy, we should have a discussion of who were the best first ladies ever, starting with Jackie Kennedy.

Eleanor Roosevelt, Bess Truman, Mamie Eisenhower, Jackie, Lady Bird Johnson, Patricia Nixon, Betty Ford, Rosalynn Carter, Nancy, Barbara Bush, Hillary, and Laura Bush. And we could start with Martha Washington, Abigail Adams, and so forth.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105

Those are your own beliefs (not uncommon ones), but again; who are we to judge others who do not share them? Worst of all, I really don't see what Bill was doing being a reflection on Hillary's capabilities as a Presisent other than many are thinking that "if she couldn't direct what was happening in her own house, how can she possibly direct what goes on, on the world stage with America having a leading role?"
It is an unfair litmus test for Hillary-being judged as a leader, because your husband is screwing around. One has nothing to do with the other. But, because America practically makes scandal in Washington a national sport; we dwell on senseless issues like this.

I just don't like Hillary or Bill. But an "open" marriage is also not my idea of the morals I would like for my president to have. But that's just me. Bill's behavior may not have been a litmus for her, but her reaction to his behavior is.

But why is that we are even using her reaction to Bill' behavior as any way to judge her as a President? Yes, many of us have differing ideas as to the morals we expect of our leaders. This is why the media loves any sort of news that can be turned into a mudslinging fest. America eats this up.
Isn't there an old saying about "those who live without sin casting the first stone"?
