Is it because they hated Bill?

or because they are terrified of a woman President?

or because she's too smart?

She's just smarmy to me. But I didn't like Bill either.

I met her while she was campaining in NY and she seemed scary. Way too much energy. A closet tweaker? I believe that she is smart, but in a scheming way. Maybe she can get elected, but can she lead? Will she be a polarizing president as is our current one?

I was a first time voter in 2004 and was so disappointed by the election and its process.

Conservatives think she is too liberal, and liberals think she is too conservative.

And a lot of independents don't like her because of her track record for pandering to big business and lobbies (and liberals and some conservatives for the same reason).

People are looking for genuine change, not to just 'go back to the Clinton days'.

Many Republicans are right in saying that Clinton is the one to beat. But truly if you think about it, most if not all the Republican candidates are beatable too. So who knows. You know if it's one thing I have to hand the Clintons, is that they're great campaigners. She could change many of the attitudes toward her when we get closer to the primaries. So we'll just have to wait and see.

I think it is because she is uppity and doesn't know her place.

No doubt that there are a lot of people that are put off by a woman that can play politics with the big boys, but I think that a lot of folks are concerned about her political alliances as well.

Frankly yes, gary. that seems to be the general attitude in this country still. there are Islamic countries that have elected women. yet we are afraid to.
