The only thing that makes no sense here is how some of the pellets did NOT penetrate the soft skin on Wittington's face and neck, but others apparently DID penetrate the skin lower on his body.

| I think this is a total waist of time. However, I have no problem seeing Cheney being ridiculed. Godbless, Tadpole. “I am a Republican. I\'m loyal to the party of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. And I believe that my party, in some ways, has strayed from those principles, particularly on the issue of fiscal discipline.” -John McCain "Senator, when you took your oath of office, you placed your hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution. | God... It was just a hunting accident. There are more effective ways to kill/harm/maim people than with birdshot. No one died. The whole story was stupid. What about illegal wiretapping? Now that's a scandal. The Valerie Plame leak? Outrageous. Connections with Jack Abramoff? The White House doesn't need elaborate cover ups. All they need is something shiny on a stick hanging off of the top of the White House to distract reporters. [/i] | |||||||||||||||||||||

| OT per the "lie" issue, but relevant to the Cheney and the shooting thing... (And possibly relevant to Dylan's reply above...) "More then three in four said it was understandable that the accident had occurred and two-thirds said the media had spent too much time covering the story. Still, the incident appears to have made the public's already negative view of Cheney a more so. Just 18 percent said they had a favorable view of the vice president, down from 23 percent in January. Americans were evenly split on whether or not Cheney's explanation of why there was a delay in reporting the accident was satisfactory." http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1350874.shtml I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming... | |||||||||||||||||||||

On the second bit, it probably has something to do with angles and trajectory and what have you.
