Could be. Or it could be just another of hevusa's insane conspiracy theories.

The only thing that makes no sense here is how some of the pellets did NOT penetrate the soft skin on Wittington's face and neck, but others apparently DID penetrate the skin lower on his body.

I think this is a total waist of time.

However, I have no problem seeing Cheney being ridiculed.

God... It was just a hunting accident. There are more effective ways to kill/harm/maim people than with birdshot. No one died. The whole story was stupid.

What about illegal wiretapping? Now that's a scandal. The Valerie Plame leak? Outrageous. Connections with Jack Abramoff?

The White House doesn't need elaborate cover ups. All they need is something shiny on a stick hanging off of the top of the White House to distract reporters. [/i]

But hey - did you hear that Cheney is having an affair with that woman Ambassador that was along on the trip? She's the Ambassador to someplace like Lickedhervine... I heard Cheney & her were having sex in the long grass when his gun accidentally went off & hit Wittington in the face.

...but that's just what I heard.

OT per the "lie" issue, but relevant to the Cheney and the shooting thing...
(And possibly relevant to Dylan's reply above...)

Hey, at least he didn't blame the Freemasons or the Illuminati!

On the second bit, it probably has something to do with angles and trajectory and what have you.
