Are you trying to do anything to fix the problems with the Republicans? Apparently not. ![]() To refresh your memory on what those issues are... ================================================== ======= Just 30 percent of the public approves of the GOP-led Congress’ job performance, and Republicans seem to be shouldering the blame. By a 49-33 margin, the public favors Democrats over Republicans when asked which party should control Congress. That 16-point Democratic advantage is the largest the party has enjoyed in AP-Ipsos polling. On an issue the GOP has dominated for decades, Republicans are now locked in a tie with Democrats — 41 percent each — on the question of which party people trust to protect the country. Democrats made their biggest national security gains among young men, according to the AP-Ipsos poll, which had a 3 percentage point margin of error. The public gives Democrats a slight edge on what party would best handle Iraq, a reversal from Election Day 2004. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12199878/ ================================================== ======== "(Gay marriage) is a debate about whether you think gay people are part of the human condition or just a random fetish." -- Jon Stewart "Please don't judge others by your own standards." -- Garysher Last edited by foundit66; 04-27-2006 at 07:14 PM.

Jefferson? You are NOTHING to get worked up over... But please. If it helps you to imagine that you're actually concerning me, indulge yourself in that fantasy... Along with the rest of your political beliefs... Sometimes, your dimness astounds me! (Note: And STILL not on the topic at hand, avoiding the point of the results of this poll... Should I add something on about "post-humping"? I post a thread about how Ted The Sot Kennedy is a laughing stock. Shortly thereafter you - being defensive and reactionary - post a thread (on the same sub-forum) about how the Republican Party is a laughing stock. Nope. No coincidence there.

And quite frankly, if I had to compare an ENTIRE POLITICAL PARTY with being a "laughing stock", to ONE MEMBER of a different political party being a "laughing stock", I'ld say that the situation with the party with only one member being laughed at was preferrable... I wonder if all the "laughing" at Kennedy will mean he won't get re-elected... Because if things continue to go like this for the Republicans, that is PRECISELY what will happen... So let me repeat the truth: Ted Kennedy is a joke - a laughing stock. But you're free to love him all you want.
