Lol Although Jefferson, that did make me laugh a bit. --- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope --- There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

| Its been translated from Farsi to French and to English, but its available to the public if you just look. Click for the full text of the letter Hate him or not, you have to admit he does speak a lot of truths. He's a hypocritical bastard, but at least a hypocritical bastard that speaks some truth. Although he is crazy on the holocaust and some issues with Israel, but some of what he has to say about Israel in that letter does ring some truth. I think he was being kind of moderate in the letter than what he really is, but its a good letter mostly anyway. And don't believe anything the Bush administration says in response to the letter, I don't even think they're bothering to read it. Oy veysmir... Where do I start? He's lecturing about liberal values? Because you know, Iran totally does liberal values well. I don't know what's more liberal, the fact that women in Iran can't leave their homes without a male escort, or that they aren't allowed to drive cars. Transperancy in government? A free and open media? We all know Iran is a paragon of both! And oh, who embraces democratic human rights more than Iran, where people are hung in the public square for being gay! Please excuse my dripping sarcasm. Hamas are TERRORISTS. Basically the only reasons they got elected are that the Fatah Party were riddled with corruption, and Hamas has been running all of the basic services that the government hasn't. Day cares, soup kitchens... For the Palestinians, it was lesser of two evilism. Most Palestinians, until recently, have not embraced Fundamentalism. In fact, traditionally, the Palestinians have been quite socialist. The primary Arab Israeli party in the Knesset is a Communist Party. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Anyhow i agree that liberalism from Ahmedinejad is pretty odd. But again US allies have WORSE records on liberalism. Quote:
Also, how much do you know about what goes on in your government? You wouldn't have heard anything about the US gov eavesdropping on you if it hadn't been leaked. What transparency. Quote:
Look, the palestinians have no weapons. They have no power and they have no money. They have been pushed around for many decades now. every time an israeli dies, at least 10 palestinians are taken down. Yes Hamas bombs public buildings etc. Did you know that this was the same pattern of all european resistance movements during WW2? My grandfather was a resistance fighter in denmark and he's bombed quite a few public buildings himself. But that was for freedom. Who the hell decided that hamas isn't fighting for freedom from israeli oppression? While it is tragic that such barbaric means have to be employed, what would you do if you had no weapons, no money and no power and the canadians kept coming in in their helicopters and shooting down your houses families, friends and leaders? The palestinian vote for Hamas was not because they all grew beards and started talkin crazy. its cuz they are sick of being pushed around. And Hamas actually takes care of the palestinians. Unlike any other government or organization. Love for all, Hatred for none
