There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

You have no idea whether he was or wasn't and you cannot prove he wasn't just as I cannot prove he was. We are discussing what the bible says. That is what the bible says. You are a fool.

You say "What would be sin for us would also be sin for him".

Isn't it clear, by Mosaic law and the Exodus verses quoted, that gathering food on the Sabbath is a sin?

If the answer is no, you're going to have to elaborate with an explanation on why it IS NOT a sin, and why those Exodus verses don't show gathering food on the Sabbath as sinning...

My apologies.

It seemed you were stating the bible as fact again when you said:

"Jesus was God and man. He is a unique individual. What would be sin for us would also be sin for him."

Am I mistaken??

Jesus was a unique individual?? You knew Jesus?<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

"Let he who is without sin
KICK THE FIRST ASS"
But it don't take much to get me by
So just booze me up and get me high

Yes I knew Jesus. When I knew Jesus he was just a boy and we went fishing together. As we sat in our boat, I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said...."God".

Yes, gathering food on the Sabbath was breaking the law. As Lord, he can set aside any law. He is Lord and above the law. God can do whatever he pleases. Jesus is God in the flesh.

He can "set aside" a law...
But then he didn't KEEP the law, in its entirety, without exception.

Isn't that correct?

If a king kills a man, but then "sets aside" the law that would be enforced upon him, he can't claim to have "kept" that law, can he...

And this power of Jesus to "set aside" any law...
Why can't he just do that for ANY possible infraction upon the law he wants to?
He gets pissed and thinks that a pharisee deserves a good slap, so he hits him, and just "sets aside" the law for that issue.
Can he do that for any law and any infraction?

He is the law in the flesh. As for the rest of your meandering thoughts, you'll have to see a psychologist for that answer. The law was not given by God to God. The law was given by God to man. God can do whatever he damn well pleases.

You're missing the point, or trying to avoid it desparately.

God CAN do whatever he damn well pleases. He could in fact actually have told us "Believe in me, repent of your sins, and you'll be saved" and not even send Jesus, couldn't he have?

But instead, he chose to sadistically send down his "Son" to be human, or whatever half-breed cyborg your religion teaches, to be tortured and killed.

But we're getting off track here.
It's a CENTRAL POINT to the Christian dogma that Jesus KEPT the law, and that he HAD TO keep the law in order to fulfill the Old Testament contract. So that a new contract could be made.

But Jesus DID NOT keep the law perfectly. And choosing to ignore the law demonstrates that the dogma is flawed. The 'requirement' that Christians taught that Jesus had to keep the law perfectly and that he did keep the law perfectly is wrong.

So, avoid this with insults if you please, but it's not going away.
It's not "meandering".
If you have no real answer, then be honest enough to admit it.
Or be Christian and obfuscate...
The choice is yours...
