You "believe Jesus", but you don't follow his teachings?
You don't act as he commands?

To me, at least I'm more honest in this situation. I admit that I'm not trying to follow the rantings of the Bible.

And the really sad thing is that it doesn't take that many brains to comprehend what the Bible is saying, and where it contradicts itself, and where science has proven it wrong.

But idiots like you can't be broached by such discussions, because you won't listen to anybody who doesn't believe just like you do. You create a shelter for yourself to prevent yourself from ever questioning your actions or the bible.

Pathetic!

Give me 2 verses that you claim are contradictions. Don't give me a bunch. I will show you that you are wrong. I know you won't believe it, but I will still prove you wrong.

Preach to me with the bible unbliever. You sound just like a donkey. You are using a book you don't believe in to show me the errors of my way. One of us is a little kooky and it sure aint me.

Gotcha! Easy slip-up and textual variance. Could happen to anyone.

The correct translation is "That we may rape them" actually. Why don't you actually read the article? Orthodox Jews are still opposed to homosexuality, but for a different reason: namely, Leviticus 20:13.

What about donkeys speaking Hebrew?

Bamidbar, aka Numbers, although an exact translation would be "In the desert." The portion is called "Bamidbar Balak," or Numbers chapter 22.
Quote:
21 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.

22 And G-d's anger was kindled because he went; and the angel of HaShem placed himself in the way for an adversary against him. --Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.--

23 And the ass saw the angel of HaShem standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field; and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.

24 Then the angel of HaShem stood in a hollow way between the vineyards, a fence being on this side, and a fence on that side.

25 And the ass saw the angel of HaShem, and she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall; and he smote her again.

26 And the angel of HaShem went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.

27 And the ass saw the angel of HaShem, and she lay down under Balaam; and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with his staff.

28 And HaShem opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam: 'What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?'

29 And Balaam said unto the ass: 'Because thou hast mocked me; I would there were a sword in my hand, for now I had killed thee.'

30 And the ass said unto Balaam: 'Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden all thy life long unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee?' And he said: 'Nay.'

I think I just won. Alright! My time in parochial school and synagogue every week totally hasn't been wasted!

What was Jesus' prediction regarding Peter's denial?
Before the cock crow - Matthew 26:34

Before the cock crow twice - Mark 14:30

And there are PLENTY more where that came from.
I realize that you want to limit things because there are so many contradictions in the Bible, but we can go through a LOT if you're going to be honest about this and actually discuss it...

Are you so stupid you can't even comprehend what I'm doing? That it just doesn't make sense to you?

Suppose I'm a democrat. Suppose democrats believe in X.
Suppose you're not a democrat, but you see me claiming to be a democrat but not following X.
There is no contradiction in pointing out that I am not believing in X even if you aren't a democrat.

My GAWD that's so mind-bogglingly simple that it's amazing you can't grasp it!

I DID read the article.
In fact, I now have the site saved, and am reading more and more of it.

The problem in Sodom was NOT the lack of hospitality, it was homosexual "rape" (if that's what you want to call it).

That's not the Jewish perspective.

Maybe we should just leave it at that.

Wrong. I wish to limit it because of time and giving full attention to them one at a time. Your first one is too easy, but at least you are going to learn something. At the title of each gospel it says "The Gospel According to So and So". That means each writer is giving his account of what happened. Each account of the 4 gospels are accurate. The contradictions are in the minds of those who would love to believe there are contradictions (such as yourself). There is no contradiction here. You have 2 writers giving their interpretation of what happened. Actually the statement was uttered twice, once in the room and once out of it (John and Luke). If my wife says she went shopping and went to the grocery store. Then later her friends says she went to the grocery store and then to Penny's. They are both right.Just because she omitted that she went to Penny's the first time she told me does not make her a liar or make her statement a contradiction. Her friend just added more details. Matthew says you will deny me before the cock crows. Mark says before the cock crows twice. Does that mean Peter did not deny Jesus until after the first crow and before the second crow? No. He could have denied him before the first crow and the second crow also and still be correct. Too easy.

You can also stop calling me stupid anytime now. One thing I am not is stupid. You just are having a hard time with things. I understand that and I am trying to show patience with you. I know you are confused.

Okay, next bible contradiction please.......
