Food for thought.

The Pals voted for them, or at least they got elected. Who knows if they stole the election or not. They got exactly what they wanted and now they have to live with it. They have no one to blame but themselves.

No, no. They can always blame the Jews.

It was a lesser of two evils situtuation. They had a choice between Fatah, who had impoverished the Palestinians, were riddled with corruption, and had prevented elections from taking place, or Hamas, who were crazy fundies, but at least they were new. Plus, Hamas runs day care and primary school centers, which the government never did for the Palestinians. The Palestinians have not, traditionally at least, been religious radicals. They have been nationalists. And so, the actions of Hamas recently do not fly with the objectives of the people. This reaction doesn't suprise me in the least.

Hamas is going to have to learn that they have to get along with Israel if they want to survive as a government.

Yes. They're also going to have to recognize Israel. All the maps in Palestine schools do not show the State of Israel. The Pals problems are the pals.

I think it is more that the Palestinians' problem is poverty and government corruption, coupled with some Israeli security measures.

And the blame for their poverty and government corruption is the Pals own fault. No one elses. They have sacrificed a generation to be educated in hatred suicide for the cause of a few senile religious hatemongers. Palestine needs leadership.

They had their first election ever quite recently. It's not like they got to choose their government or anything.

Maybe instead of using their energy to kill Jews, they should use it to clean out the scum who has taken their country to hell.

Hamas is finding out that it's MUCH easier to just kill innocent people and cause mayhem than it is to actually lead and do good.

This is precisely the reason terrorists will not, cannot, and should not EVER be in any kind of leadership positions. Ever.
