as someone who lives in europe i can tell you it wasnt huge. it didnt stand a hope in hell of getting ratified everywhere. the only thing it realy ment is that Blair can now get out of holding a referendum that he would have lost.
the american constitution is 2 pages long and is easy to understand. this was 800 and wasnt. we didnt need it. were not a super state and its good its dead.

limey42, you can say that again. As a person living in America and tired of a lot of things here, it is disheartening everytime I see other countries becoming more like us. Why the hell would Europe want something to make it even more like the States? Good ridance.

If you were more knowledgable about what really goes on in the world, and the state of things (information not found in the mainstream) then you would know what I said was true. Of course, if you don't like to hear truths being spoken, (most people don't) that's another issue altogether.

Shed your light of brilliance upon me and tell me how I am wrong.

No, newsweek broke the koran in the toilet story I believe.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.
