I Thought There Were No WMDs!?!?!
Yes, it has been concluded that they were pre-1991 WMDs.
And yes, it has been concluded that they probably would not have worked as designed.

But how did US forces find over 500 chemical weapons in Iraq? I thought they didn't exist?

On the other hand, why didn't Idiot Saddam simply let the UN inspectors do their jobs, as was their demand, and as was the mandate of countless UN Resolutions?

Do you ever READ the links you post?

Here's a quote from the first one:

The point remains: WE'RE BEING TOLD THAT IRAQ NEVER HAD SUCH WEAPONS.

I don't think finding 500 run down, unusable chemical weapons is worth the tens of thousands of lives lost. Besides, I thought the Bush administration had evidence of modern WMD production.

I heard on the news that the nerve gas was very deadly still. Where did you hear that it was unusable?

The Bush administration had the same evidence as the Clinton Administration and you have already seen their quotes. This is too easy.

I would oppose the war even if Clinton led us into it.

Here is what I read in the news.

"Offering the official administration response to FOX News, a senior Defense Department official pointed out that the chemical weapons were not in useable conditions."

Yeah, I read that. I also read this:

The weapons are thought to be manufactured before 1991 so they would not be proof of an ongoing WMD program in the 1990s. But they do show that Saddam Hussein was lying when he said all weapons had been destroyed, and it shows that years of on-again, off-again weapons inspections did not uncover these munitions.

Then I read this:

This says weapons have been discovered, more weapons exist and they state that Iraq was not a WMD-free zone, that there are continuing threats from the materials that are or may still be in Iraq," said Rep. Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich., chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

And then I read this:

The official said the findings did raise questions about the years of weapons inspections that had not resulted in locating the fairly sizeable stash of chemical weapons. And he noted that it may say something about Hussein's intent and desire. The report does suggest that some of the weapons were likely put on the black market and may have been used outside Iraq.

He also said that the Defense Department statement shortly after the March 2003 invasion saying that "we had all known weapons facilities secured," has proven itself to be untrue.

I especially liked that last sentence by the same guy you qouted. You must have missed that one, huh!!!

1. As already posted, Iraq had already reported to the UN that there were 500 missing weapons when they were in the process of destroying them.
http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.as...14&Cr=iraq&Cr1

2. The Bush administration allegedly had evidence of modern WMD's. Where are they?

3. According to your own post it proves nothing but only "suggests" and "raise questions".

4. I don't see the relevance of that quote other than saying our intelligence is still flawed.

The bottom line is these weapons were not the ones that Bush claimed to have evidence of and they do not justify this war because they do not pose a significant threat to the US.
