A lot of morality, like killing, goes out the window during a time of war.
SOME of it, like the Geneva Convention, DOES stay in place.
There is a reason that the Geneva Convention was drafted.

If you could point to any part of the convention that states the rules go out the window if the enemy doesn't abide, I welcome it.

Until then, it just means others are more moral about sticking to the rules than you are...

The United States is the ONLY country that even TRIES (albeit, not always well) to uphold the Geneva Convention. And, quite frankly, I say "Screw 'em". We would have been better off to pay assassins to take out Saddam, and Iran's President Asswipe. Cut off the head and kill the snake.

The only nations that give even LIP SERVICE to the Geneva Convention (besides the USA) are the hapless, UN nut-swinging European countries. But let's see how well they do, in the next 10 years, as Muslim population and atrocities continue to skyrocket. There WILL be another Hitler in Europe, and the wrath of Europeans will be turned toward Muslims.

Surely you CANNOT be STUPID enough to say "Yes". But go ahead and try to say "yes" anyway!

I will admit that their signatures don't have the weight of impact that the U.S.'s does.
But if they ever become involved in a "peace-keeping" military force, their requirements will be the same.
