SOME of it, like the Geneva Convention, DOES stay in place.
There is a reason that the Geneva Convention was drafted.

If you could point to any part of the convention that states the rules go out the window if the enemy doesn't abide, I welcome it.

Until then, it just means others are more moral about sticking to the rules than you are...

Are the Muslim terrorists abiding by the Geneva Conventions?

Do you throw your morals and rules out the window just because others do that?

If I am walking down the street with my wife and daughter, and somebody tries to kill them, MY MAIN MORAL IS TO SAVE THE LIFE OF MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER. If that involves killing the assailant, so be it. In fact, all the better!

What, pray tell, is wrong with you? Are you bi-polar? Mentally unstable?

The United States is the ONLY country that even TRIES (albeit, not always well) to uphold the Geneva Convention. And, quite frankly, I say "Screw 'em". We would have been better off to pay assassins to take out Saddam, and Iran's President Asswipe. Cut off the head and kill the snake.

And I agree whole-heartedly.
My position on self-defense is the same.

No. It's just that you're terminally incapable of comprehending what people ARE and ARE NOT saying...

Wow.
That's a rather bold and inaccurate statement.
Not too surprising coming from you...

But what about bin Laden?

Oh wait. We're not concerned about where he is, are we...

But what about bin Laden?

Oh wait. We're not concerned about where he is, are we...
The only nations that give even LIP SERVICE to the Geneva Convention (besides the USA) are the hapless, UN nut-swinging European countries. But let's see how well they do, in the next 10 years, as Muslim population and atrocities continue to skyrocket. There WILL be another Hitler in Europe, and the wrath of Europeans will be turned toward Muslims.

As for bin Hidin'? If they can find him, capture him alive. Hang him upside down, naked, on the site of the former WTC Towers and torture him to death. Then bury him with 10 pigs! If he's going to be called a martyr (which he will), we might as well get out money's worth.

This is a list of the close to 200 countries that have signed...
International Humanitarian Law - State Parties / Signatories

But I guess if you toss insults their way, then we can ignore everything else, right?
Because that's the point? To insult. Right?

Your prediction is noted.
I hope it doesn't come down to that.
There are some out-spoken positive elements and attempts at change within Islam which could help the situation.

Now if you could only persuade Alias that we should be concerned with finding that %@#$ ...

Big Whooptie-Freakin'-Doo! So nations like Sudan and Syria are signed on! Wow! That REALLY means something, doesn't it?

Do they, in actual everyday life-practice, uphold the Geneva Conventions?

Surely you CANNOT be STUPID enough to say "Yes". But go ahead and try to say "yes" anyway!

I will admit that their signatures don't have the weight of impact that the U.S.'s does.
But if they ever become involved in a "peace-keeping" military force, their requirements will be the same.
