Funny how you say that (with no evidence supplied), and you still insist on using NewsMax...

I've proven NewsMax a liar.
I'm still waiting for your demonstration of NY Times lies...

If it wasn't for the NY Times our own Congress and Senate wouldn't even know about the illegal wire tapping. It is now being reviewed in the House, because the NY Times had balls enough (after sitting on the story and looking into the laws to see if it was legal, for a whole year)to speak up when it realized the program was not legal. Our Elected Officials are now talking about creating a secret panel or court to reveiw each case of domestic wire tapping. Instant access to this panel will be given and secret warrants will be issued. Sounds alot like what I have been saying we should do all along, huh?
By the way, where are all these charges you extremists have been saying were going to be brought against the Times? Seems like the truth only hurts when it really is the truth, not lies. I would love to see some proof of the Times knowingly lying.

Yeah, the hype of it all.

Take it to the military section, or environmental section.

From http://www.mied.uscourts.gov/eGov/ta...06%2010204.pdf:
"Plaintiffs are a group of persons and organizations who, according to their affidavits, are defined by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (hereinafter “FISA”) as “U.S. persons.”2 They conducted regular international telephone and internet communications for various uncontestedly legitimate reasons including journalism, the practice of law, and scholarship. Many of their communications are and have been with persons in the Middle East. Each Plaintiff has alleged a “well founded belief” that he, she, or it, has been subjected to Defendants’ interceptions, and that the TSP not only injures them specifically and directly, but that the TSP substantially chills and
impairs their constitutionally protected communications. Persons abroad who before the program spoke with them by telephone or internet will no longer do so.
2Pub. L. 95-511, Title I, 92 Stat 1976 (Oct. 25, 197, codified as amended at 50 U.S.C. §§ 1801 et seq."
This case was recently ruled on by Hon. Anna Diggs Taylor. Plaintifs listed in the file were:
AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION;
AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION
FOUNDATION; AMERICAN CIVIL
LIBERTIES UNION OF MICHIGAN;
COUNCIL ON AMERICAN-ISLAMIC
RELATIONS; COUNCIL ON AMERICAN
ISLAMIC RELATIONS MICHIGAN;
GREENPEACE, INC.; NATIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF CRIMINAL DEFENSE
LAWYERS; JAMES BAMFORD; LARRY
DIAMOND; CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS;
TARA MCKELVEY; and BARNETT R. RUBIN.

Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) currently has a class-action lawsuit filed in California against AT&T for Collaboration with Illegal Domestic Spying Program. At the heart of the lawsuit, as I understand it, is a secret room that was set up to divert ALL calls and email traffic so the government has access to it, without a warrant. Read the FAQ on EFF: AT&T/NSA Class Action FAQ for more information. Since it's a class-action suit, I believe plaintif is EFF on behalf of all of AT&T's customers.

Center for Constitutional Rights is also challenging the warrantless domestic spying program. "CCR filed the suit in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York on its own behalf and on behalf of CCR attorneys and legal staff representing clients who fit the criteria described by the Attorney General for targeting under the NSA Surveillance Program." You likely won't get a fair trial if the line between you and your lawyer is bugged.

There are probably others, too. Do you need them, also, or is this list enough to convince you?

Allegations and class-action lawsuits do NOT mean that somebody or some entity is guilty.

Have you never heard of the basic American judicial premise of, "Innocent until proven guilty"?

I can only assume you're yet another of the weak-minded people who were screaming about how Karl Rove leaked the Valerie Plame thing.

Remember: Innocent until proven guilty.

...and by the way, the links you provided said virtually nothing. Legal blather containing ALLEGATIONS and ACCUSATIONS.

Yes, innocent until proven guilty in a courtroom, which is why I've been watching these cases. The first case was concluded and is now in appeal. I don't know the status on the others, as I had a death in the family. In fact, I did not know that someone finally owned up for his actions in outing Plame until today.

Innocent until proven guilty works for Americans, but apparently not for "enemy combatants".

If I recall correctly, you were asking for names of persons who had been harmed by warrantless wiretapping, which I provided. You did not specify that they had to have been proven in court.

I was not screaming about Rove leaking Plame's name. You must have me confused with someone else.

No, I'm not confusing you with somebody else in the PlameGate fiasco. I'm using that as an example of people who angrily spout off about somebody being guilty of something WITHOUT THE FACTS. That is what people the likes of FoundIt66 and Hevusa do. It gets pretty old.

Now... about the "wiretapping". You, me and every other American needs to WATCH and LEARN. We DO NOT KNOW exactly what was and was not done. We do not know the extent of its legality, or constitutionality. Shoot, it wasn't very long ago that news "broke" that 3 major telephone carriers had been handing all their records over to the NSA. Big HUGE furor by the liberals. Turns out, it just wasn't true.

The liberal Bush-haters need to read more, listen more, think more and scream LESS.
