I'm sure the enemy already knew there was a possibility of their phone being bugged. If they were that stupid, to think otherwise, this war would be over. Not to mention the total uselessness of the program to start with. How many terrorists have been caught inside our borders, since 911?
Overseas Intelligence gathering, from legitimate terrorist's call's, is one thing but warrantless domestic eavesdropping has been deemed illegal. Even Mr. Bush has publicly admitted this and is now waiting to see what is going to be done pertaining to these laws. He is not eavesdropping on domestic calls and says he will go by the letter of the law that is applied now. All along I have been saying what he was doing is illegal and now this has come to be true. Now the people who make and know the laws have also come to this conclusion. The NY Times reporting our president's illegal actions is not only 100% correct but truely American. War or no war, the law is the law and now it will finally be straightened out to get the program legal. Seems like this is what our country is suppose to stand for. Not programs going around our congress and senate. It's about time we fixed some of it.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour

You're right. I don't care. If the enemy doesn't obey rules, then why should I? When you have an enemy who does not have any rules, then to obey rules would be suicidal and insane.

None at all.

One of the articles that Jefferson quoted DISPROVES HIS CLAIMS with regards to Bush's legality on the wire-tapping U.S. citizens without a warrant.

But Jefferson made no mention of it...
Don't worry. I can keep reminding him until he sees it and acknowledges it...
YOU claimed that NOTHING changes during the time of war. That there are no "change of rules".

I PROVED you WRONG. Again.

That's all.

It has NOTHING to do with whether or not the NSA eavesdropping is legal or illegal - because, unlike you, I am NOT arrogant enough to stand on a soap-box screaming about it. Or maybe I should say that, unlike you, I am not STUPID enough to make that claim.

1) You obey the rules when the enemy does not because it's the RIGHT THING TO DO.
2) "suicidal and insane".
What "rule" do we have that has lead to "suicide" or an issue where somebody was killed who would have been saved if the rule wasn't followed?

3) When Bush said that they hate us because of our freedom, I thought he was full of crap.
On some level, if that were true, then our rush to eliminate our "freedom" in the name of trying to keep ourselves safe is fulfilling the terrorists desires...

WHERE did I supposedly say that?

The only puzzling thing here is the question as to whether you are so stupid to believe your own lies, or you're just so stupid that you tell them and think others don't see through them.

I have NEVER said there are no "changes of rules".
I have EXPLICITLY ACKNOWLEDGED the existence of "war powers" for the president to Alias.

Quit with your dumb lies already Jefferson.
You're embarassing yourself.

1) I simply quote the FBI'S STATEMENTS ACKNOWLEDGING their wire-tapping efforts on innocent American civilians, without a warrant, and you say it is "stupid".
The only thing "stupid" is denying it when the FBI ADMITS that it's going on.
2) Pointing out that Bush is acting in an ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL MANNER is "arrogant"????
Man. You REALLY reach for some of those insults, don't you...

You know what's really funny?
You may be dense enough to believe that you are actually doing that, when the truth is that you are being made a fool of left and right.

Over and over again you formulate arguments against things that I never even said, demonstrating in perpetuity your incapability to comprehend simple English.
Yeah. Keep bruising my verbal knuckles with your face. That'll teach me...

Page 7 of this thread, dumbass.

Unlike what YOU claim, "the rules" change during a time of war. When you challenged me to prove that to you, I did.

I win - again.
You lose - again.

Too many syllables for you?

It's interesting to note that you claim I don't "say very much", but you still want to respond to me...

QUOTE me.
Don't just refer to a page.
QUOTE me.

Can't do it, can you...

1) I never claimed that there aren't different rules for a time of war.
2) Like I explained to you already, my request was regarding the SPECIFIC CONTEXT OF WIRE-TAPPING. I wanted you to show me how THOSE rules changed in a time of war.
