Well that is your opinion and you are granted that. Nut you have yet failed to even tell me how I am no more safe than what I was before.
Read my posts. While you are at it, re-read the entire thread. Slowly. Pronounce the hard words out loud if you must.

You have proved nothing to me, your post have told me nothing about how we are no safer. You just want to believe that, for reasons I don't know so slowly read this and answer my damn question, unless you are unable to do so.
Godbless, Tadpole.

Wow... this seems like it has been a really intense debate, and it seems everyone has really strong opinions. I am just glad to see that it would appear that most of the people on here are intelligent enough to realize that we can not go on living a life of cowardice and allow our civil rights to be violated. We need to fight as hard as possible to get rid of the Patriot Act. I agree with tadpole, Conservatives have been the real terrorists lately. They have done more to strike fear in the hearts of Americans, and to take away their rights, and to hurt this country than al qaeda ever has or ever could. I think Osama is sitting back and laughing while 'W' does his work for him.

eh..I find the first couple of sentences in your post very true, and the rest very controversial.

In Memoriam of Freedom...
In the wake of yesterday's 4 dud bombings in London, the U.S. House has voted to extend the Patriot Act by a vote of 257-171. This includes 10-year extensions to the two other provisions set to expire on December 31, one allowing roving wiretaps, and another allowing searches of library and medical records.

R.I.P. Freedom

Shame on all who supported this.

Easy, they have created an atmosphere of fear and terror in this country. They have the lemming of America sacrificing their rights at every turn, and looking over their shoulders for the Terrorist boogey man. America has a lot of enemies, the threat of terrorism has always been a reality we have had to deal with, all the conservatives have done is to create a society affraid of itself. Did you know that starting today they are going to start doing random bag and person searches in the NYC Subway! That's horrible! We are becoming more and more like Stalinist russia every day. Of course, there were no Terror attacks in Russia under Communist dictatorial rule, so I suppose the conservatives would be hunky-dory with that.

Yes indeed sir. Those of you who are so willing to sacrifice your freedoms do not deserve them. Double shame on you, you are half black. Blacks have had to work too hard in this country for their rights just to surrender them willy-nilly.

All the Patriot Act does is to provide equality to the American people by treating them all the way blacks have been treated in this country for decades. It makes us all suspects. Talk about a step in the wrong direction.
