Iran-US: the next war?
I was thinking recently about Iranian nuclear program and possible options how to deal with this country. Atom bombs in the possession of Iranians mean most probably that another Holocaust will happen soon but this time in the Middle East not in Europe. I read this article, which outlines some undergoing options for the U.S. government http://www.europeancourier.org/18.htm However I still believe that any diplomatic actions against Iran will eventually fail and the West will find itself in a position either to agree that Iran has nuclear weapons or militarily destroy the present Iranian regime and its nuclear program. Both options are scary, however I strongly prefer Iran without nukes even if the cost would be another war

We've got the technology...

Identify each nuclear facility and blow it up. Who gives a flying fart if President Asswipe of Iran is upset.

Better to deal with them now then later.

The ones who are going to be crying are the pansy ass liberals in this country. They could care less what happens to Israel. They are all for human rights unless you're a jew or a conservative Christian.

Even despite possible human rights and international law violations this would entail, it's of complete disregard to American wellbeing, not just basically the entire middle east.

Jefferson, I'm glad that people like you aren't in the military; it appears as if you don't (maybe can't?) consider the repercussions of your actions (although unfortunately there are people like you in the White House). Many of the Iranian people don't like their leadership, and are willing for change democratically. I find it ironic that you would avert to overt action before even the basic decency of democratic reform. Perhaps it's because of all the anti-Iranian propaganda that was pumped into making you believe that such isn't possible? Well, it is. Not to mention that, using Iraq as a case example, democracy at the point of a gun never works. Through time, things are brought peacefully. They would have no motive to nuke us if we hadn't put the boot to the Middle East's neck in the first place.

If the neo-conservative doctrine of democracy through imperialism didn't work in Iraq, it won't work in a place many times larger, many times populous, and potentially more radical.

Have you read ANYTHING Iran's President Asswipe has written? Have you read anything he's said?

Katz,

Iran wants to talk alright. They want to talk and talk and talk all the while they are building a bomb. Iran wants a middle east without Israel, no more and no less. How do you negotiate that? Please tell us.
