Awwwww, Poor Nancy!
Oooooo, poor Nancy Pelosi.

She might not be able to fly back and forth across the country in the HUGEST jet she can get the American taxpayers to pay for!

Pentagon limits Pelosi jet size*-*Nation/Politics*-*The Washington Times, America's Newspaper

It's really pretty pathetic. It seems that ANY time ANY person gets into a position of power, they begin to think they're royalty and can do anything at any cost (not to them personally, of course).

Also, if Pelosi is so danged concerned about Global Warming - as all the popularity-seeking Democrats certainly are - shouldn't she be finding a more environmentally friendly way to travel, then on her own personal Jumbo Jet?

Well, there are alot of congressmen and administration in the Bush cabinet getting the same deal...and Pelosi didn't negotiate it....but you knew that already, didn't you?

You see, the third in line cannot travel on commercial plane..it's forbidden for security reasons...

Pelosi, Planes and Partisan Propaganda

Of course, the information was leaked from the White House and spread by the conservative media...

Quote:
That's not exactly the stuff of scandal. But, after an apparent "leak" from the Bush administration's Department of Defense to the White House-friendly Washington Times newspaper, the Times last week ran a story headlined: "Pelosi's Power Trip -- Non-stop Nancy Seeks Flight of Fancy."

Fox News jumped on the story, followed by other cable networks. The Republican National Committee stoked it with emails to reporters and briefing papers supposedly exposing Pelosi's imperial style -- and ambitions. The predictable Sean Hannity declared that Pelosi "thinks she's the president" -- seemingly unaware that by referencing the presidency he was acknowledging his own dear leader's regal pretensions.
And there were admittance of lies in the spreading of this hate-mongering, typical conservative movement which we have all come to abhor...hence, the democrat majority in the Congress.

Media Matters - Will media report Putnam's admission that his Pelosi allegations were baseless?

Quote:
In a February 20 article, The Tampa Tribune reported that House Republican Conference chairman Adam Putnam (FL), the third-ranking House Republican, "acknowledges he had no personal knowledge" of a purported request by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for "carte blanche" use of a military jet. In an interview with Fox News, Putnam had accused Pelosi of "an arrogance of extravagance that demands a jumbo jet that costs $22,000 an hour to operate to taxi her and her buddies back and forth to California." As the Tribune noted, "[T]here's no evidence Pelosi requested any such thing."

The question now is whether major media outlets that reported Putnam's baseless allegations -- including CNN, Fox News, ABC, The Washington Times, and the Associated Press -- will report his admission. A February 22 search* of the Nexis database showed that, so far, they have not done so.
Keep feeding the hate of their base...those fundamental born again right wingers....

Think Progress » Hastert Used Military Aircraft To Fly Foley Page Scandal Figure To Washington

Hastert used his military jet for other than political reasons...to cover up for the Foley sex with boys scandal...

See, this is garbage and you know it's garbage and you only serve to make yourself uneducated by continually bringing up lies and misinformation...actually, you look like a puppet of a dictatorship and NOT like a citizen of a constitutional government...so which do you support...a Bush regime, or the United States of America?

I don't see why this is a bigger story than Dick Cheney flying on a military C-17 named "The Spirit of Strom Thurmond."

Some context helps see how ridiculous your little leading statement is.

Yeah, that seems more interesting. Espicially the story when Cheney shot someone while hunting. When people are in power, they will find a way to show it. Many people do it, when you're in power you want to be known, right?

I don't see how that makes my statement look ridiculous. The only thing I see that is ridiculous in this picture is that they would name a military transport after Strom Thurmond.

It was a standard issue military transport - with seats jury-rigged in the cargo hold - that was used by Cheney when Air Force 2 had some problems.

Cheney had no say over what plane was issued, or what it had written on it.

So what's your point?

My point? My point is, is that it's ridiculous that they would name a military transport after Strom Thurmond! Might as well call it segregation airlines.

Then say that.

Don't bring Cheney into it - implying that he's some sort of racist hate-monger. This has nothing to do with Trigger Cheney.
