I miss my mother's fried okra, CF. She made it good. Now the only place where I can get it is at the Cracker Barrel restaurants. But they don't come close to the way my mother made.

She would toss the okra into flour and corn meal, before putting it into the frying pan.

I'm just a little more finicky, but not much. I've had blackened alligator, but most other wild game foods I pass on by. I will look for some of the restaurants given by H80 in his article and try some of these dishes in the name of "curiosity". Thank you much H80.
Don't get me started about Filipino foods. I love lumpia and pansit, but I will not even think of trying "baloot" (don't know if I spelled that correctly).

You're welcome. The only Filipino food I ever had was Pork Adobo, served aboard a PanAm B-747 from Guam to Honolulu back in 1979.

Pork Adobo is simple to make.

Boy, I miss PanAm. They sort of started world air travel.

Man! What sort of snake is it for that price? Cobras imported from Thailand?Again, I'm showing my ignorance. I was unaware that there was a "seasonal availibity" for snake in the Arizona desert!

Well, it is rattlesnake, the western diamondback kind. I won't ever have that again, I tell you. Not because of the price, but because I hate snakes.

Cheney is barbaric toward other hunters because he doesn't obey basic saftey rules.

One reason I hunt alone or only with people I know well.

Cheney doesn't go hunting per se. Check this out. Here's how much of a hunter Cheney is.
