It's does take patience H80; but how you bread the okra is actually the important thing.

How true. In years past, there was a can of Trappey's okra. On the label inside, there was a recipe on how to do it. It came out well. The labels inside the cans changes from time to time, so I have no idea what is inside.

I'm sure you've had okra and tomatoes. I've had that, too.

Heck; I think if you lived in either Alabama or Georgia, you'd probably have it twice a day to eat. Now, the one thing I've yet to experiment with is fried pickles. How are these to eat?

Never had them. I've had fried okra for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel restaurants in Arizona. Last time I ate a Cracker Barrel restaurant was in Waynesboro, VA, over two months ago.

You know what doesn't pass the smell test? Vick's claim that he only bankrolled the gambling and that he didn't place any bets or receive any of the winnings. While he certainly has enough dough to do that, a guy that's involved enough with the operation to murder some of the dogs would be involved enough to take a cut from any winnings.

Considering that he flat out lied to the NFL commissioner and to the team owner regarding his involvement in dogfighting, he lacks credibility (in my opinion) when he claims that the extent of his involvement with the gambling was only to fund it.

I heard earlier that he is only going to plead guilty to the interstate commerce charge. This mess is getting more smelly each day. The NFL was correct in my book for the indefinite suspension. This way, they don't look bad in that they are not Allowing Vick his day in court. At the same time, each game not played is a severe penalty, financially; for Vick. And, it doesn't pit the NFL's interests against the government's case. Good thinking, Goodell! Bad thinking, Vick! It also allows the NFL to reinstate him, if by any chance- a snowflake in hell- Vick can explain his way out of this mess.

Vick should get 12-24 months. He is going up in front of a dog loving judge that is known for tough sentences. Will he play again? Who knows? Now I hear the Falcons want millions of dollars returned to them. He could wind up a homeless bum.

It came out well. I printed a recipe from the web, and followed the directions. I cooked it in a cast iron skillet. As the recipe calls to cook for 10 minutes, I cooked it a little longer than that medium-high (level 5) heat.

It called for 16 ozs. cut okra, 1 egg, 1/4 c. flour, 1/4 c. corn meal, 2T vegetable oil, 1/2 tsp. pepper, 1/4 tsp. salt.

Not unless the Raiders' Al Davis gives him another chance. He's been known to do that, getting players like Vick to play for the silver and black. Of course, we Chargers' fans have no love for the Raiders anyway.
