You're joking, right? Cats are not naturally predators? Then why do people use barn cats to keep mice and rats down? Why are cats, if left without human contact for the first 2 months of their lives, completely able to live?

Domesticated cats are just one step off of wild cats, and it doesn't take much for them to revert to their wild ways.

And dogs are the same. It is natural for any predator to prey on a smaller, weaker animal.

but aside from my feeligns on that this is different. much different. dogs do not naturally eat cats. cats are not naturally predators of another animal.

You are kidding me seriously. Domesticated dogs only eat dog food because it is given to them In the wild, which dogs CAN revert to, they are pack animals and will eat anything that they can catch. Just like stray cats have no problem catching their own food.

this is not something that occurs in nature, and the man had to INJURE them first so the dogs could even catch or keep them, I presume.

I doubt he HAD to injure them first. I think this guy might have a few issues that made him steal other people's property for this when you can get free kittens any where. You do know that dogs are predators.

a person who stalks and captures a domestic animal that is not meant as prey to feed to another animal that does not even naturally feed on that animal is way off base. as you are for defending it.better to fight for outlawing the feeding of all live animals to other animals then to sanction this.
I'm not defending his stealing someone elses property. I'm just saying that the act of feeding live animals to another isn't such a heinous act. It happens all the time. Here's a horrible video shot in Iraq.

This was absolutely brutal.

it is NOT a natural thing in this country for dogs to go around eating cats. these are domesticated animals that have had much of their instincts bred out. but no matter, for a person to take a domesticated animal and force feed it to another domestic animal is sick. your video is probably sick (sorry I won't watch that). and so is this. a person who can do that has serious mental issues as well.
As the song says, it was a love T.K.O.

The instincts aren't bred out just diminished. Cats catch and kill stuff all the time. So do dogs. Especially pit bulls which were bred to be vicious not that long ago.
American PitBull Terrier

And do a "dog kill cat" google. It's not unheard of for dogs to kill cats. I had a dog that used to do it pretty regularly. That was 20 years ago though. Maybe dogs have changed.

I kind of thought that this would be the result. I thought that he might receive a light prison sentence; maybe one year on the interstate commerce lawsthat wee broken; plus a monetary fine, but that was it.
By the way, I heard last night that Ricky Williams (he of the countless banned substance suspensions) has been cleared to return to the Miami Dolphins to play. Mr. Goodell, what has happened? Has your highly touted "no-tolerance" policy changed directions in such a way that now you cannot hold up your responsibility as Commissioner? Has your stated job description changed from "making all members of the NFL-no matter what position or team- hold up to an acceptable code of conduct to now a rubber-stamp approval that says "I don't care what in the hell you do"? I'm really dissapointed in you, Mr. Goodell.

Sad, but unfortunately true, Knot. I am unaware that murder (any degree) applying to anything other that humans. That doesn't make his behavior any more acceptable, though.
